Eligibility and Requirements
To be eligible, you must:
Be a citizen of or have refugee status from an eligible Commonwealth country.
Be a permanent resident of an eligible Commonwealth country.
Hold a first degree with at least a 2:1 honors standard by September 2026.
Be available to start your studies in the UK in September 2026.
Not be able to afford to study in the UK without the scholarship.
Specific requirements for PhD applicants: You must not be already registered for a PhD or MPhil at a UK university or in your home country before September/October 2026.

How to Apply
The Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC) does not accept direct applications. You must apply through a nominating body, which can be a national nominating agency, a non-governmental organization, or a charitable body. For PhD scholarships, select universities can also nominate their own staff.
You must submit an application through the CSC's online Electronic Application System (EAS) in addition to any other forms required by your nominating body. It's crucial to check with your specific nominating body for their unique application procedures, eligibility criteria, and deadlines.
