Flora and Fauna Restoration System Tanzania (FLORESTA) is a non-governmental organization based in Moshi, Kilimanjaro Region. The organization’s mission is to improve the lives of poor rural communities by promoting productivity, increasing income, improving nutrition, and encouraging environmental conservation. For more than 15 years, FLORESTA has worked across rural Tanzania addressing key challenges such as faith integration with environmental stewardship, holistic watershed management, diversification of rural livelihoods, and access to community based financial services. As part of our ongoing efforts to deepen spiritual restoration within communities and strengthen our internal staff’s spiritual caregiving capacities, FLORESTA intends to conduct a Biblical Counselling Capacity Building Training. This training is intended to strengthen the Spiritual Renewal (SPR) team in their role of offering compassionate and biblically grounded guidance to individuals facing emotional, relational, and spiritual challenges. It will also enhance their ability to support staff members in their spiritual journeys ultimately helping our team embody Christlike values in both professional and community interactions.
FLORESTA is therefore seeking an experienced consultant to design and facilitate this training, ensuring it is theologically sound and contextually relevant for both community and staff care.
You are kindly requested to submit terms of reference that will include:
Consultant background and experience relevant to biblical counselling.
Objective of the training and the approach or methodology to be used.
Proposed training timetable and deliverables.
Total budget/cost for undertaking the assignment.
Three references from previous similar work.
