On this update we focus on Ratiba na Matokeo ya Tanzania Taifa Stars AFCON 2023/2024. The Tanzanian National team, Taifa Stars qualified to play the Finals of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2023 after a 0-0 draw with Algeria in the last game of Group F played at the May 19 Stadium, in Algeria. The Match was played on August 7, 2023 .

Taifa Stars finished 2nd on their Group with 8 points and joined Algeria with 16 points in the group to participate in the AFCON 2023/2024 Championship, leaving out of the competition the National teams of Uganda who finished with 7 points and Niger who finished at the bottom of the Group with 2 points.

Tanzania is making its third appearance in the AFCON 2023 competition, which begins on Saturday January 13, 2024. Their previous two appearances, in 1980 in Nigeria and in 2019 in Egypt, both ended in the group stages. Tanzania will aim to progress much more further in this year's TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Cote d'Ivoire 2023 competition.

In this AFCON 2023/2024, Taifa Stars is Grouped in a tricky Group F, alongside Morocco, Democratic Republic of Congo and Zambia. Tanzania will know well its Neighbors Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Zambia but will face a Sterner Tests against the dominant opponents from Northern Africa - Morocco who are among the AFCON 2023/2024 favorites . This does not, however, imply that they will have an easy time against the 2012 winners Zambia and the two-time champions DR Congo in what promises to be a difficult Group F in San Pedro.

The East African Sole Representatives, Tanzania's Taifa Stars, will play their opening match of the AFCON against Morocco on Wednesday, January 17. Four days later, they will play Zambia, and on January 24, they will wrap off their Group F matches against the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
