Takealot.com, South Africa’s leading online retailer, is looking for a talented Senior Marketing Manager to join our Customer Insights team and take the lead on TakealotMORE, our exciting new loyalty program.


What You'll Be Doing

As the Senior Marketing Manager for TakealotMORE, you'll be at the forefront of our growth strategy. This isn't just a role about managing campaigns; it's about building a brand from the ground up and creating a loyal community of customers.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Driving Growth: Conceptualize and manage ongoing marketing campaigns to drive adoption and retention for TakealotMORE.
  • Owning the Strategy: Develop an in-depth understanding of our customer base and create meaningful promotional strategies that resonate with them.
  • Building Partnerships: Source and unlock opportunities with big brands in the market to create powerful, mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with our product, merchandising, and brand teams to ensure a seamless and engaging customer journey. You'll also partner with MrD to cross-sell and access new shoppers.
  • Delivering Results: Track and report on campaign performance, ensuring we are meeting our objectives and driving tangible sales revenue.

What We're Looking For

We are a hyper-growth company, and we need a dynamic, creative, and hardworking individual to join our team. To be a great fit for this role, you should have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications.
  • At least 5 years of experience in retail and marketing, with a proven track record of working across digital, ATL, and partnership channels.
  • A strong strategic mindset and the ability to craft marketing plans based on sales figures and targets.
  • Experience with C-level executive interaction.
  • An understanding of loyalty programs or subscriptions is a significant advantage.
  • A strong ability to build and nurture relationships with partners and third parties.
