This is a permanent position where you'll play a crucial role in supporting and governing our IT solutions in line with our business strategy.

What You'll Do
As an IT Solutions Architect, you will be a key driver in shaping our technology landscape. Your responsibilities will include:
Strategic Guidance: Provide thought leadership and conduct research to guide our business and IT strategies for transformation projects.
Solution Design: Define sustainable and scalable solutions, documenting future-fit designs in collaboration with various teams.
Governance & Collaboration: Proactively define and support our IT architecture landscape, ensuring governance is adhered to. You will also build and maintain relationships with suppliers and key stakeholders across the business.
Continuous Improvement: Identify and deliver IT opportunities for continuous improvements, and proactively identify business risks and mitigations based on architecture principles.
Mentorship & Leadership: Actively participate in, and promote a working group culture across IT and business functions, and mentor others on how to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Who We're Looking For
Educational Requirements: A relevant 3-year tertiary or NQF-aligned qualification, along with relevant architecture certification.
Experience: At least 3 years of experience in an architecture capacity, with a focus on retail.
Essential Skills & Knowledge:
Experience with retail Point of Sale and process modeling.
A deep understanding of the retail industry and its operations.
Knowledge of modern development methodologies, including Agile, DevOps, and Scrum.
Experience with both on-premise and cloud solutions.
Exceptional communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
TOGAF certification is an advantage.
