Career Opportunities: East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) Project

China Petroleum Pipeline Engineering Co., Ltd. (CPP), a key contractor for the EACOP Project, is hiring for several positions. We are seeking experienced and qualified professionals to join our team in Tanzania.

We are looking for candidates who are passionate about quality and safety in painting and coating roles within the oil and gas industry.


1. QC Painting Inspector

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of surface preparation and coating applications in line with project specifications and industry standards.

  • Verify materials, mixing ratios, and application methods.

  • Perform essential tests, including DFT, adhesion, and holiday testing.

  • Document inspection results, write reports, and manage non-conformances.

  • Monitor environmental conditions throughout the coating process.

Requirements:

  • A Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.

  • NACE Level 2 certification is required; Level 3 is highly preferred.

  • Over 5 years of experience in coating/painting inspection within the oil and gas or similar industrial sectors.

  • Strong knowledge of ISO, SSPC, and NACE standards.


2. Assistant QC Painting Inspector

Responsibilities:

  • Support the QC Painting Inspector with daily quality control and inspection tasks.

  • Assist in monitoring environmental conditions and application processes.

  • Help with testing, documentation, and reporting non-conformances.

Requirements:

  • A Diploma or Certificate in Engineering or a related field.

  • NACE Level 1 certification (or in progress) is a plus.

  • At least 2 years of experience in painting, coating, or inspection work.

  • A proactive and eager-to-learn attitude, with a desire for professional growth.


3. Painting Supervisor

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate painting/coating teams to ensure work meets all quality and safety standards.

  • Plan daily schedules, allocate resources, and track productivity.

  • Ensure proper surface preparation, application, and curing processes are followed.

  • Work closely with QC Inspectors to resolve any quality issues.

  • Enforce strict safety procedures and maintain a tidy work environment.

Requirements:

  • A Technical Diploma or an equivalent trade qualification.

  • Over 5 years of experience supervising painting teams in the oil and gas or industrial sectors.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.

  • In-depth knowledge of coating processes and safety regulations.
