What You'll Do in This Role
As a Data Scientist Manager, you will oversee and manage multiple projects within the Data Science and Data Engineering space. This is a leadership role where you will manage the end-to-end delivery for our clients by leading and mentoring teams of Data Engineers and Data Scientists.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Project Leadership: Lead the delivery and manage the execution of Data Engineering and Data Science projects.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, framing their business problems and proposing data analytics or digital solutions.
- Solution Design: Produce intelligent, scalable, and automated solutions. This involves designing the end-to-end data science and data engineering solutions and collaborating with technology teams to define new data capabilities and architecture.
- Strategic Planning: Develop a Business Intelligence roadmap and prioritize business insight requests to balance tactical and strategic needs.
- Mentorship: Continuously mentor and train junior members of the team, fostering a culture of growth and continuous improvement.
Who We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will be a leader with a strong technical background and a proven track record of managing projects and people.
- Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in stakeholder management and leading the delivery of complex data projects.
- Technical Skills: The ability to apply industry technologies for data analytics, including business intelligence, data science, and data engineering tools. You should also be proficient in applying SDLC methodologies to solution development.
- Personal Attributes:
- Exceptional Leadership: You can manage multiple engagements simultaneously, lead teams effectively, and work with minimal supervision.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to understand complex business processes, risks, and controls.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clients and stakeholders.
- Drive: A strong drive and willingness to mentor and train junior team members.
