Are you an experienced operator with a passion for quality and precision? ITB Flexible Packaging Solutions (ITB), a leading plastic packaging manufacturer in the Novus Holdings Group, is looking for a skilled Co-Extrusion Operator to join our team in Isithebe, KwaZulu-Natal. This is a permanent position where you'll play a critical role in producing high-quality packaging for the FMCG and food markets.

Key Responsibilities
As a Co-Extrusion Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring our machines are set up and running to perfection. Your duties will include:
Machine Operation: Setting up co-extruders according to job requirements and specific guidelines.
Quality Control: Constantly monitoring the width, color, and clarity of the product to avoid any out-of-spec situations. You'll also provide samples to the QA team for inspection.
Troubleshooting: Using your technical knowledge to troubleshoot any issues and ensure continuous production.
Production Management: Regularly checking the status of jobs to efficiently change orders upon completion, and accurately recording production tallies.
Compliance: Ensuring all work meets ISO 9001:2001 Quality standards.
What We're Looking For
Educational Requirements: You must have completed Matric (Grade 12) or an equivalent qualification. A Certificate in Blown Film is an added advantage.
Experience:
At least 4 years of experience in the plastic packaging industry.
At least 2 years of experience specifically as a Co-Extrusion Operator.
Basic computer knowledge.
Skills & Competencies:
A strong understanding of how co-extrusion machines work.
The ability to adjust, calibrate, and test equipment to ensure optimal operation.
The ability to perform various calculations, including weight per meter, BUR, and DDR.
The ability to set up machines and achieve the best possible Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
