Are you a results-oriented leader with a talent for driving sales and a passion for building strong relationships? SanlamConnect, a key part of the Sanlam Group, is looking for a dynamic Business Manager (PG12) to join our East Coast team in Umhlanga.
This is a management role with a strong tactical focus, where you'll contribute to the regional sales strategy and play a vital role in driving sales performance. You'll be responsible for leading teams of financial advisers and ensuring our clients on the KZN South Coast, eThekwini, and North Coast are connected with the best financial solutions.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Business Manager, you will:
Drive Sales Strategy: Contribute to the regional sales strategy and translate it into clear, operational goals for your team.
Lead and Develop: Manage and develop your team of advisers, ensuring they have the tools and support to succeed.
Manage Performance: Set and drive sales targets, manage budgets, and oversee the new business approval process.
Ensure Compliance: Manage operational effectiveness, business risks, and retention, all while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Collaborate: Serve on the Regional MANCO and collaborate with various teams to execute marketing and business-building initiatives.
Who We're Looking For
Experience: 8-10 years of experience in the financial services industry, with a focus on sales and operational management.
Qualifications: A relevant Diploma or Degree in Legal, Actuarial, Commercial, Financial, or Business fields. A Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning or CFP is preferable. You must also have your RE5 and Wealth Management /RFP3 or equivalent.
Knowledge:
Deep understanding of the financial services industry, including different distribution channels and Sanlam's product offerings.
Expertise in advisor contracts, remuneration, and sales administration.
Strong knowledge of relevant regulatory legislation and compliance.
Personal Qualities: We're looking for someone who is client-focused, results-driven, a great collaborator, and adaptable to change. You should also have strong financial acumen and excellent decision-making skills.
