IT Supervisor Job Opportunity in Dar es Salaam
Job Title: IT Supervisor
Location: Dar es Salaam
Position Summary:
The
Branch IT Supervisor will play a crucial role in overseeing IT
operations within the branch, ensuring the seamless functioning of
hardware and network systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Train and manage IT officers, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge
- Develop work plans and performance reports for the IT team.
- Oversee network security, planning, and deployment within the branch.
- Coordinate with service providers to ensure uninterrupted network services.
- Monitor network traffic and manage related expenses.
- Maintain and manage hardware assets, including PCs, laptops, routers, switches, and surveillance equipment.
- Collaborate with construction teams for the installation and maintenance of CCTV and data monitoring systems.
- Ensure the server room is maintained in optimal conditions, including cleanliness, ventilation, and temperature control.
- Assist in the execution of IT projects as directed by the Branch IT Manager.
- Identify user requirements and collaborate on developing effective IT solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Proven experience in hardware maintenance, network deployment, and team management.
- Proficiency in computer maintenance and network management.
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux systems.
- Experience with surveillance equipment installation and maintenance.
- Knowledge of information security and IT planning.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
