PUBLIC NOTICE ON CAP PRICES FOR PETROLEUM PRODUCTS EFFECTIVE WEDNESDAY, 4th JUNE 2025
EWURA has set new maximum prices for fuel across mainland Tanzania, effective midnight on Wednesday, June 4, 2025. You can find the retail and wholesale prices for Dar es Salaam, Tanga, and Mtwara in Tables 1 and 2.
The following are the significant changes to fuel prices, effective Wednesday, June 4, 2025, as detailed in EWURA's public notice, "Cap Prices for Petroleum products from 4th June 2025" (REF: PPR/2025 - 06/01):

EWURA notes that these changes are largely attributed to a decrease in global fuel prices (FOB prices) and favorable exchange rate movements, although premiums for petrol and diesel at Dar es Salaam Port and Mtwara Port increased.
Retailers and wholesalers are required to adhere strictly to these cap prices, and legal action will be taken against non-compliance. Fuel stations are also required to display their prices clearly.
