Takwimu za Matokeo ya darasa la saba 2023 - Interesting Stats from NECTA

 

Now that Matokeo ya darasa la saba 2023 are  officially out , lets us check out some interesting stats from NECTA.

The Tanzania  National Examinations Council (NECTA) has announced the results of the end of primary education exam held in September 2023, where 1,092,960 Candidates equal to 80.58 percent of the 1,356,296 Candidates with the results of the 2023 primary education graduation exam have succeeded by getting grades A, B and C.

Announcing the results today in Dar es Salaam, the Executive Secretary of NECTA, Dr. Said Mohamed said that in 2022 the successful candidates were 79.62 percent, so the success this year has increased by 0.96 percent.

Girls who passed are 585,040 equal to 80.58 percent where the quality of success has increased compared to 78.91 percent last year while the quality of success for Boys has improved where those who succeeded are 507,920 equal to 80.59 percent compared to 80.41 percent for the year 2022.

"In the quality of performance, most candidates have obtained grade B and C, where grade B is 23.20 percent of candidates, grade C is 53.41 percent and grade A is 3.98 percent"

The Tanzania National Examination Council (NECTA) has canceled the results of 31 Candidates equal to 0.002 percent who were found to have cheated in the 2023 PSLE.

The results of the exams have been announced today November 23, 2023 in Dar es Salaam by NECTA Executive Secretary Dr. Said Mohamed where he said the Council has closed two exam centers which are Twibhoko and Graiyaki both of the Serengeti Council in the Mara region after it was proven to commit fraud in exams.



"Also, the council has written warning letters to four test centers which are Mother of Mercy, St.Marys Mbezi Beach of Kinondoni Council, Dar es Salaam Region, Charm Modern of Karatu Council, Arusha Region and Morotonga of Serengeti Region Council. Once they tried to cheat and engage in fraudulent activities in the exams, these centers will be under the supervision of the Examinations Council until the council is satisfied that the centers are safe for the conduct of the National Examinations.

For Tanzanian students, the PSLE exam is essential since it sets the stage for their future academic careers. Students' eligibility for open secondary school seats in Tanzania is based on how well they perform on the PSLE.
