JOB ADVERT – OPERATOR (IMPORTATION) – (2 POSITIONS, MALE ONLY)

Freight and Logistics Limited is looking to recruit two (2) experienced
and qualified male Operators – Importation to support and strengthen
our import operations team. The ideal candidates must have a solid
background in handling import procedures and working closely with
regulatory bodies to ensure efficient and compliant clearance of goods.
✦ Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage end-to-end importation processes in line with legal and regulatory requirements
• Prepare, review, and submit import documentation accurately and on time
• ✦ Coordinate inspections and verifications with the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) at Inland Container Depots (ICDs)
• ✦ Liaise effectively and professionally with TRA officials to ensure timely clearance
• Collaborate with transporters, port authorities, and clearing agents to ensure smooth cargo movement
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date import records and documentation
✦ Qualifications & Education:
• Diploma or Degree in Shipping, Clearing & Forwarding, Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
• Minimum of 4 years’ practical experience in importation and customs clearance
• Strong understanding of Tanzanian import regulations and clearance procedures
• Excellent communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and general logistics systems
