Scholarship Details
Number of Scholarships: Limited

Scholarship Value/Inclusions:
Monthly payments of 992 Euros for Master's students and 1,300 Euros for doctoral candidates.
Payments towards health, accident, and personal liability insurance coverage.
Travel allowance, unless covered by the home country or another funding source.
Under certain circumstances, additional benefits such as a monthly rent subsidy and a monthly allowance for accompanying family members may be provided.
Duration:
Master's: 12 to 24 months (depending on the specific institution/course)
PhD: Up to 42 months
Eligibility Criteria
The typical scholarship holder should meet the following requirements:
Professional Experience: Currently employed by a public authority or a state/private company in a developing country, engaged in planning and executing development-oriented directives and projects in technological, economic, or social fields.
Academic Background: Holds a Bachelor's degree (normally four years) in a related subject.
Academic Performance: Completed an academic degree with far above average results (upper third of their class).
Post-Degree Professional Experience: Possesses at least two years of relevant professional experience after their first degree (Bachelor's) at the time of application.
Degree Age: Academic degrees should generally not be more than six years old.
Nationality: A national of a country listed on the OECD-DAC list (excluding Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia (including Kosovo), and Turkey).
Language Proficiency:
For German-taught courses: A current German language certificate (not older than two years) demonstrating a minimum B1 level, according to the requirements of the respective study course, must be submitted at the time of application. The scholarship includes a preparatory German language course in Germany (up to six months) to prepare for the DSH 2, TestDaF 4, or Telc C1 (university) language exams, which are formal requirements for enrollment.
For English-taught courses: Proof of adequate English language skills is required, as per the regulations of the respective course.
