*About the Role*
BOL HR Consultants is recruiting on behalf of a leading IT industry client seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead all facets of financial strategy and operations. You will drive corporate accounting, risk management, regulatory compliance, and financial growth in a dynamic trading environment.
*Key Responsibilities*
*Financial Leadership*:
✓Execute weekly cash flow & treasury management
✓Lead debt collection strategies to optimize credit exposure
✓Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports
✓Develop business processes, accounting policies, and ensure compliance
✓Manage annual budgets (CAPEX, OPEX, revenue) and expense control
✓Compliance & Oversight:
✓Implement robust internal controls and SOP adherence
✓Maintain reliable accounting records and documentation
✓Oversee all audits (tax, internal, external)
✓Ensure tax/regulatory compliance (including filings, payments, TRA disputes)
*Strategic Advisory:*
✓Provide tax consultancy (direct/indirect tax) and transfer pricing guidance
✓Represent the company in TRA engagements and resolution
✓Streamline accounting functions and drive financial growth initiatives
*Required Skills & Qualifications*
✓Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
✓CPA Certification (Mandatory)
✓4+ years’ combined accounting/finance management experience in trading environments
✓Proven track record as Financial Controller, Assistant Finance Manager, or equivalent
*Technical Expertise:*
✓Advanced proficiency in accounting software and administration
✓Mastery of tax management, accounting principles, and financial reporting
✓Expertise in month-end/year-end close processes and general ledger functions
✓Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
*Critical Attributes:*
✓Strong regulatory compliance orientation (Tanzania context)
✓Exceptional analytical and strategic planning capabilities
✓Ability to liaise with banks, auditors, and tax authorities (TRA)
