Job Vacancy – Declaration Officers (2 Positions)

Vindar Freight and Logistics Limited is looking for qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following positions:
🔹 1 Declaration Officer – Export
🔹 1 Declaration Officer – Import
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and submit customs declarations (Import/Export) accurately and on time
Classify goods using correct HS Codes and calculate duties and taxes
Verify and review shipping documents including invoices, packing lists, and permits
Coordinate with customs officials, port authorities, shipping agents, and clients
Track shipments and follow up to ensure timely customs clearance
Resolve any customs queries or delays quickly and efficiently
Maintain up-to-date records of all declarations and related documents
Ensure compliance with TRA regulations and company policies
Assist in preparing reports on clearance status and duty payments
Support the finance team with duty and VAT reconciliation as required
Identify potential risks or issues in shipments and escalate as necessary
Keep abreast of changes in customs regulations, tariffs, and procedures
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Clearing & Forwarding, Shipping, Logistics, or related field
Minimum 3 years of experience in clearing and forwarding operations
Good knowledge of TRA systems (TANCIS, ASYCUDA) and TPA (Tanzania Ports Authority) procedures
Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
