The East, Central and Southern Africa Health Community (ECSA-HC) is inviting applications from qualified candidates for various positions based at its Secretariat in Arusha, Tanzania.

These roles offer a unique opportunity to contribute to strengthening health systems and emergency preparedness in the region. ECSA-HC is looking for professionals who are passionate, experienced, and ready to support regional health development through innovation, coordination, and collaboration.

Available Positions

  • Financial Management Specialist

  • Senior Emergency Preparedness and Response Specialist

  • Gender, Equity and Human Rights Specialist

  • Project Administrator

Contract Type: Three-year renewable
Duty Station: Arusha, Tanzania
Eligibility: Nationals of ECSA-HC member states (Tanzania only for the Project Administrator role)

Its primary mission is to foster and promote regional cooperation in health among its member states, which currently include Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mauritius, Eswatini (formerly Swaziland), the United Republic of Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. The organization also emphasizes knowledge generation and management, policy advocacy, and strategic partnerships to ensure that evidence-based approaches guide health interventions and policies throughout its member states.
