Are you a highly skilled engineering professional with a solid track record in industrial maintenance and plant reliability? IMI Global is looking for a Head of Maintenance to lead all technical maintenance operations for one of the country's leading sugar manufacturing plants.
This is a strategic role requiring hands-on leadership, engineering depth, and strong asset management acumen to ensure uninterrupted plant operations through predictive and preventive maintenance practices.
⚙️ Key Responsibilities
🔹 Lead the planning, execution, and supervision of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and civil maintenance functions across the plant.
🔹 Design and enforce preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programs using CMMS tools to ensure asset longevity and minimum downtime.
🔹 Oversee rotating and static equipment, such as pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, turbines, boilers, and evaporators.
🔹 Lead major shutdown planning, equipment overhauls, inspections, and lifecycle management strategies.
🔹 Analyze equipment performance data and failure trends to drive root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
🔹 Manage budgets and oversee procurement of spares, ensuring minimum inventory levels without compromising uptime.
🔹 Ensure compliance with all HSE regulations, engineering standards, and ISO practices.
🔹 Coordinate with production, engineering, projects, and external vendors to ensure timely execution of maintenance and upgrade projects.
🔹 Maintain accurate technical documentation including SOPs, maintenance logs, risk registers, equipment manuals, and work orders.
🎓 Qualifications & Technical Competencies
✅ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Maintenance Engineering (MUST)
✅ Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial plant maintenance, including 5+ years at senior level in sugar or agro-processing sectors
✅ Advanced knowledge in:
• CMMS/ERP Systems (SAP, Oracle, Maximo, etc.)
• Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA)
• TPM, Lean, 5S, and Six Sigma tools
• Boilers, turbines, crystallizers, HVAC, and utility systems
• Vibration analysis, thermography, lubrication analysis
✅ Familiarity with CAPEX planning, tendering, and project execution
✅ Strong leadership, people management, and stakeholder engagement skills
