We're hiring! Finance Manager at TRí (Build Africa’s First E‑Mobility Unicorn)
Why This Role Exists:
TRÍ
is a 9‑person, venture‑backed strike team building Africa’s e‑mobility
backbone - smart batteries, purpose‑built EVs, charging infrastructure,
and the software that glues it all together. We’re already live in
Tanzania, Kenya, Ethiopia, Nigeria, and Germany, and we’re scaling fast.
Money
is fuel. We need a Finance Manager who can squeeze every dollar,
shilling and euro for maximum runway, growth, and - yes -profit. No
bureaucracy, just direct impact.
Your 12‑Month Scoreboard:
- Cash‑conversion cycle < 90 days
- EBITDA margin > 0.1 % by Q2 ’26
- Zero qualified audit findings & real‑time investor reporting
- Capital roadmap that stays two steps ahead of growth
What You’ll Own:
1 . Operational Finance (Tanzania entity first, then region‑wide)
- Full ledgers, books, and close—local GAAP + IFRS compliant
- Payments engine: payables, receivables, treasury, FX, cash‑flow forecasting
- Tax. Period. (You know TRA inside‑out.)
2 . Strategic Finance
- Quarterly investor reporting - financial + strategic KPIs
- Fundraising support: models, forecasts, data room, investor Q&A
- Process architecture: document → automate → scale
Must‑Have Grit & Toolkit:
- Proven finance operator in a high‑tempo, early‑stage environment (Series A–C, PE portfolio, or similar)
- Tanzanian tax & regulatory fluency; regional exposure a plus
- Fluency in the full stack: accounting → FP&A → treasury → audit
- Track record of driving both top‑line growth and cost discipline
- Ruthless critical thinking + proactive problem‑solving are table stakes
- Authorized to work in Tanzania; base in Dar es Salaam or Nairobi
Bonus points: Renewable‑energy or e‑mobility experience; deep UN SDG lens; 6 + years on the continent.
