Yanga 1 - 1 Al Hilal .Young Africans Sports Club has failed to take full advantage of playing at home at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium after being forced to draw 1-1 with Al Hilal of Sudan in the Total Energies CAF African Champions League - Second preliminary round first leg  game played on Saturday evening.

The match was a fiercely competitive affair, as Yanga started with a high temp in the first 15 minutes, but later on Al Hilal turn around the game and started to show more a competitive edge.

Fiston Kalal Mayele scored the Opening goal for Yanga in the 50th minute with a shot from 20 meters away after receiving a pass from Khalid Aucho, although he also missed an open goal in the 58th minute after receiving a pass from Morrison who received a cross from Feisal Salum 'Fei Toto' .

In the 66th minute, the coach of Al Hilal made a change by withdrawing John Roubia and his place was taken by Mohammed Yusuph, at that time Yanga removed Jesus Moloko and entered Tuisila Kisinda and Morrison was replaced by Farid.

Yusuph used only one minute (67 minutes) to equalize his team's goal and make it a tall mountain for Yanga who needed a win at home, but now they will have a difficult task to win away from home.

Final Score after 90 minutes of Football at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, Yanga 1 - 1 Al Hilal.


The teams expect to play the return fixture on October 16th in Khartoum, Sudan.

Yanga Starting 11 was :Diarra, Job, Bangala, Kibwana, Djuma, Aucho, Fei Toto, Morrison, Moloko, Azizi Ki and Mayele.

And on the the bench were: Mshery, Mwamnyeto, Lomalisa, Farid, Makambo, Bacca, Mauya, Sure Boy and Kisinda.
